Zhejiang Haitaike Fastener R & D Co., Ltd. successfully developed fasteners with a new material called high nitrogen austenitic stainless steel (1Cr22Mn15N). The tensile strength and yield strength of the new products are substantially increased over the standard value of the ordinary austenitic stainless steel, but the price will drop 20 thousand Yuan each ton.
The new fasteners are made by increasing the content of manganese and nitrogen and lowering the content of nickel in raw materials. On test and analysis of performance, the tensile strength and yield strength of the new products made from 1Cr22Mn15N increased by 50% and 100% over the ordinary austenitic stainless steel separately, and corrosion resistance is far superior to ordinary stainless steel.
At present, an enterprise in Haiyan is willing to product the new kind high-strength fasteners. Haitaike will also apply for national patents for this products.
