USA's Antidumping Investigation Concerning Certain Chinese Steel Threaded Rob

On March, the 5th, 2008, American Vulcan Threaded Product, Inc., submitted their application to the U.S Department of Commerce, requested launch antidumping investigation on Chinese steel threaded rob. Certain steel threaded rod subject to this investigation is currently provided for under statistical reporting number 7318.15.5060 of the HTS. The American customer No. of involved product is 7318.15.5060. This investigation covers certain threaded rods, bars, and studs, of carbon quality steel, having a solid, circular cross section, of any diameter, in straight lengths, that have been forged, turned, cold-drawn, cold-rolled, machine straightened, or otherwise cold-finished, and into which threaded grooves have been roll-threaded by a die or cut by a tap of die. The steel threaded rod, bar, and studs subject to this investigation are non-headed, typically threaded along their entire length (“fully threaded”), and may be of any length. A variety of finishes or coatings may be applied to steel threaded rod, bar, and studs, including but not limited to plain oil finish as a temporary rust protectant, zinc coating(i.e., galvanized, whether by electroplating or hot-dipping), paint, and other similar finishes and coatings.
