Korea Metal Week 2011 was grandly launched by Korea Trade Fairs Ltd on Sep. 28th, 2011 in Korea International Exhibition Center, Seoul, South Korea. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was arranged for the opening, representatives from China Fastener Industry Associaiton, Hongkong Screw & Fastener Council, Taiwan Industrial Fastener Institute, the Fasteners Institue of Japan and Korea Federation of Fasteners Industry Cooperatives were invited to participate in the ceremony and visit the fair.

Being held every two years since 1989, Korea Metal Week is the biggest industrial fair in South Korea, comprising of five specialized fields: Fastener & Wire, Die Casting, Machine Parts & Mold Manufacturing, Foundry·Forging & Furnace, Cable & Tube Pipe.
In Korea Metal Week 2011, the field of Fastener & Wire attracted around 116 exhibitors from South Korea, mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, USA, Germany, India, Australia, Indonesia and Thailand etc. The exhibitors from mainland China were Ningbo Xinxing,, Ningbo Jintai, Haiyan Huilian, Haiyan Sanhuan, Shanghai Jingyang and so on. In addition, famous enterprises like Accuvision from Taiwan, SACMA from Italy, Bossard, and Hydong attended in the exhibition as well.
