Florida headquartered Q.E.P. Co. Inc., acquired the Plasplugs trade name and other assets of the Plasplugs business through its wholly-owned UK subsidiary, Q.E.P. Co. U.K. Ltd.

Plasplug first produced a general purpose wall anchor in the 1970s. The company went into administration in 2009 and was bought back by founder Stuart Turner. The CEO of QEP’s European operations worked for Plasplugs before joining QEP.

Lewis Gould, chairman of the QEP board, said that combined with the company's recent purchase of the Homelux business, the Plasplugs products will further enhance the global QEP product offering. QEP also owns Vitrex amongst a range of other European and US brands.

Q.E.P. Co. Inc. was founded in 1979, and is a worldwide provider of flooring, installation tools, adhesives and industrial solutions servicing both DIY and trade markets.
