Japan exported around 86,504 tons of stainless steel products in January, rising by 2.9% from a month ago, according to data released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance.
Meanwhile, the export prices averaged at US$3,770/ton, decreasing by 0.6% from the last month. The country’s export revenues generated by stainless steel totaled US$326.12 million in the month.
In the given month, China was the largest importer of the Japanese stainless steel with 12,875 tons, decreasing by 20.2%; South Korea was the second largest one with 15,089 tons, soaring by 28.2% and Taiwan was the third largest one with 10,137 tons, decreasing by 9.3%, all compared to the previous month.
