On November, 2015, ASTM F16 Committee on fasteners decided to withdraw 6 standards for structual fasteners, including A325, A325M, A490, A490M, F1852 and F2280, replacing these standards with other kinds of standards. To be specific, please view the following:

"Withdrawal of F2280-14 Standard Specification for “Twist Off” Type Tension Control Structural Bolt/Nut/Washer Assemblies, Steel, Heat Treated, 150 ksi Minimum Tensile Strength
To be replaced by F3125/F3125M-2015A Standard Specification For High Strength Structural Bolts, Steel and Alloy Steel, Heat Treated, 120 ksi (830 MPa) and 150 ksi (1040 MPa) Minimum Tensile Strength, Inch and Metric Dimensions.

Withdrawal of A490-14a Standard Specification for Structural Bolts, Alloy Steel, Heat Treated, 150 ksi Minimum Tensile Strength
To be replaced by F3125/F3125M-2015A Standard Specification For High Strength Structural Bolts, Steel and Alloy Steel, Heat Treated, 120 ksi (830 MPa) and 150 ksi (1040 MPa) Minimum Tensile Strength, Inch and Metric Dimensions

Withdrawal of A490M-14a Standard Specification for High-Strength Steel Bolts, Classes 10.9 and 10.9.3, for Structural Steel Joints (Metric)

Withdrawal of A325-14 Standard Specification for Structural Bolts, Steel, Heat Treated, 120/105 ksi Minimum Tensile Strength

Rationale: In November of 2012 the ASTM F16 committee on fasteners approved the development of a new combined structural bolt standard. This new standard, F3125, was approved in November of 2014 and first published in January of 2015. F3125 is a combination and replacement of standards; A325, A325M, A490, A490M, F1852 and F2280.
The unified and simplified new standard has corrected many known problems with the original standards, it will assure that requirements of the products covered under the original standards stay aligned, and will significantly simplify maintenance.
At the November 2015 meeting of the F16.02 subcommittee it was decided to ballot withdrawal of the original six standards in the spring of 2016. The withdrawal of these older standards will help eliminate confusion in the industry as to which document should be used moving forward.
ASTM will place a “replaced by” message, along with a rationale for withdrawal, on all six ordering pages for the old standards to educate users on the change and redirect them to F3125."
