Great Ambitions, and God Helps Those One Who Help Themselves


--An Interview of Mr. Chen Qijie, General Manager of Shenzhen Dayou Steel Co. Ltd.
He is humor and polite, he is young but independent and efficiency, he is promising but disclosed pride. This person, is the general manager of Shenzhen Dayou Steel Co. Ltd., Mr. Chen Qijie.
It's hard to believe the young, handsome and ambitious man stand before me if not saw by myself, is the general manager of Shenzhen Dayou Steel Co. Ltd., which is the largest company in South-China region. In many persons' eyes, the general managers are experienced and sophisticated, but Mr. Chen surprised me at the first meet.
Mr. Chen was born in 1980s, however, he is cool and calm, which is difference from the same ages. Though less than half a year for him to manage this company, his manage ability is accepted by the staffs, and I certified the truth from the staffs.


Families Teach Me to Think
Mr. Chen said frankly he loves thinking. How to solve the problems is a ability of a person to solve problems. How to cultivate the ability of thinking? Mr. Chen said, it's the families that teach him how to learn to thinking. In Mr. Chen's childhood, his parents were always told him, the most valuable treasure in the life is ability of thinking. So, parents were tried to ask Mr. Chen solve his own problems. The ability of thinking and self-conscious are trained after many practice. In his college life, Mr. Chen has not only made good marks, but demonstrated strong leadership in college. The practice in college laid him a good foundation for his career.

A Professional Manager
Enterprises management is a science, and it decided the development of the company. As one of the members of Enterprises Research and Management College of Taiwan University, Mr. Chen has his own opinions for management, and he found the combination from the traditional and modern management ways. He is never superstition the traditional ways but inherited the cream and found some inspiration from modern ways. Mr. Chen explained vividly, enterprises, as running machines; the staffs, as the parts of machines; the role of management is connect all the parts of machines together. The managers, are the main supervisor of the "machines".
There is not any advantage for Mr. Chen in work experience, so, it's an obstacle for him? Mr. Chen explained with a smile:" Disadvantage is also an advantage, and I'm fortunately in less experience in this industry." Enterprises management is macro management, is the long-term strategy planning and thinking. How to play the greatest employees' potential should be emphasized by the managers. The managers should have a clear position for their staffs. To manage an enterprise likes play chess, the situation of "the onlookers see the whole situations" are happed often. The managers must liberated from the industrial experience and should think the way of the enterprises development in other ways.


Team Spirits: the person choosed never be suspected, and the suspected person never be choosed
A successor is supported by a excellent team behind. Powerful teams including production, sale and technology and so on were setting up when Mr. Chen joined in Dayou Company. A excellent team and a group of excellent talents are the key factors to the company's development. How to build an efficiency team that is a boring problem for the enterprisers. Mr. Chen is willing to let his staffs enjoy the management of company. He thinks that "confidence" is the only way to inspiring the actives of employees. Develop the self-advantage and plan the work flexibly, are based on confidence.
Magnanimous, kind and generous is the main characters of Mr. Chen. He is willing to communicate with the ordinary staffs with a ordinary staff. He knows every staff in his company and he is willing to listen their true thinking." I love them, and they are excellent .I trust them, and I'm willing to work with them in this hopeful industry." Mr. Chen said.


Learn the Realm from the Chinese and Overseas Culture
Management is a profound science and managers should be vision-wide, broad minded and deep acknowledge. Mr. Chen is acknowledgeable and familiar in history, philosophy and religions and so on. Conversation imperturbable, humble and warm hearted, that is Mr. Chen’s main characters. From his talk, we saw a learned businessman in modern China.


Working Hard and Making Progress Every Time
Though it's a successful experience for onlookers'eyes, Mr. Chen never thought that he has made success. In his life dictionary, "working hard" is always in a prominent location. The poem, Encouraging Learning Solutions was written by Hanyu, a poet in Beisong dynasty, of which "Industry successes by hard but abandons by lazy; Success orients from thinking but destroys by snub." Is remembered Mr. Chen. He thinks only by word-hard and unremitting, we can made progress.


Ambitious, the Realm of "Universal"
"If a man up the world, he should own great capacity, and set great ambitious." A line of Chinese Characters attracted my attentions. Mr. Chen thought that a great manager should be ambitious and should lead the company to be successful. "Universal" is a purpose and a mind, but not only ambitious. A person should be frank in anytime and in anywhere. With a open-sighted, a person can keep moving in life and career. So, he did.
