U.S. Sets Dumping Margins on Chinese Threaded Rod

The US department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the preliminary result of the second administrative review of the antidumping order on certain steel threaded rod imports from China.
 
The mandatory respondents, Chinese producer Jiaxing Brother Fastener Co., Ltd and its affiliated exporters, IFI—Morgan Lt and RMB fasteners Ltd received a preliminary dumping rate of 56.07 percent, while all the other Chinese companies will be subject to a dumping rate of 206.00 percent. 
 
The Department will issue the final results of this administrative review not later than 120 days following the publication of this notice. The review covers the period from April 1, 2012, through March 31., 2011.
 
The administrative review was requested by US-based Vulcan Threaded Product Inc. the leading manufacturer of threaded rod in the US, regarding the antidumping duty imposed on the abovementioned products on April 14, 2009.
 
Steel threaded rods subject to this review are currently classified under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United stated (HTSUS) subheading 7318.15.5050, 7318.15.5090, and  7318.15.2095.
