According to the statistics of Taiwan Trade Center do Brasil, there are about 300 manufacturers and traders of screws, nuts and bolts spreading over San Paulo, Santa Catarina etc. The companies like Belenus, Jomarca, Industrial Rex and Ciser are the manufacturers and traders with scale.

Among the producers of screws, nuts, and bolts in Brasil, only 10% producers are equipped with hot-rolled production technology while the other 90% producers make their products by the sub-contractors with hot-rolled production technology.

Usually, according to product use, fastener enterprises in Brasil will seek the cooperation with the producers working on automobiles, furniture, and construction industry as well as with the distributors of screws, nuts and bolts through exhibition and setting up agent.

In Brasil, the screw and bolt producers are more than the nut producers. Most of the screws, bolts and nuts are applied in automobile, furniture, construction and machine industry while little is used in information industry. When the assembled information products are imported from oversea, they have been supplied with screws.

In responding to the requirement of domestic manufacturers, Brasil government passed law and stipulated in February 2007 that the import license must be applied for the importing of screws, nuts and bolts with simple function and without heat treatment; and the import declared value must not be lower than 1,650 dollars per ton. But the screws for special purpose will be exempted from this stipulation.
