Senco Brands announced the acquisition of Expandet A/S located in Graested, Denmark on August 22, 2012. The acquisition is effective immediately. The purchase price was undisclosed.

Expandet A/S was first established in 1955 by the Mortensen family. Up until the time of the acquisition, it has been operated daily by Laus Mortensen and Lene Mortensen, who took over the business from their father in 1983.

During its 57 year history, Expandet has established itself as a manufacturer and marketer of premium quality fasteners used in professional and do-it-yourself building applications throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Expandet commercial reputation has been marked by exceptional customer satisfaction, outstanding product development, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Expandet business will report directly to Peter van der Wel, President of Senco Brands International.
