In 2011, South Africa started antidumping investigation on China’s fasteners, which was regarded as unfair trade competition by Lianyungang Xingyi Fastener Co., Ltd.

Mr. Xu Peifei, general manager of Lianyungang Xingyi Fastener Co., Ltd expressed that South Africa was the main export market of Xingyi Fastener, but its export product didn’t post any dumping to South Africa. Hence, under the leading of Mr. Xu Peifei, Xingyi Fastener organized a panel to appeal and defense.

This panel filed the import and export statistics and accounting of Xingyi Fastener in recent half and one year; then it submit the files to South Africa's International Trade Administration Commission (ITAC) for examination and verification.

In the meantime, Xingyi Fastener employed local lawyers in South Africa to defense for itself. Three months after submitting files, South Africa dispatched two officials in January 2012 to Xingyi Fastener to conduct on-the-spot investigation, reconciliation, survey, and verification for one week.

Ten months later, good news came. ITAC released an announcement that Lianyungang Xingyi Fastener Co., Ltd existed no dumping and excluded it from the continued imposition of antidumping duty of 73.93% on Chin’s full thread bolts, which meant that Xingyi Fastener won a victory on South Africa AD investigation on China’s fasteners. From that on, Xingyi Fastener could export products to South Africa with zero tariffs.
