Fastenal February Sales Up 7.7%

The Fastenal Co. (Nasdaq: FAST), Winona, MN, No. 7 on MDM's list of top industrial distributors, reported sales for February of $274.5 million, an increase of 7.7 percent from the previous year. Daily sales increased 7.7 percent to an average of $13.7 million.
During the month, sales to manufacturing customers grew 8.8 percent, while sales to nonresidential construction customers grew 0.7 percent.
Three new stores opened in the month and employee headcount increased 16.3 percent year-over-year to 17,773.
