Since August 21 of 2014 all forming tools, hot or cold, classified in NCM 8207.30.00 passed the need to Import Permit prior to shipment, whose concession is held by Decex (the Department of Foreign Trade Operations, Ministry of Development of Brazilian Government).

Tools for pressing, stamping or punching are under the validity of this new standard. Will be subject to non-automatic licensing prior to the shipment of goods overseas for verification referred to in item V of article, 16 of Annex I to Decree 7096/2010.

In cases of goods shipped prior to the start of the validity of this treatment, the corresponding import licenses may be deferred without restriction boarding - since that it have been registered in Siscomex (the Integrated Foreign Trade System) within 30 days of the date on which the consent of Decex, in the form of paragraphs number 3 and 4 of Article 17 of Decree 23/2011 of ordinance Secex (The Bureau of Foreign Trade). After this period, the removal of the restriction will has been conditioned on submission of the bill of lading for the Bank of Brazil.
