According to data released by the customs, Brazil imported 11,500 tons of wire rods in October, soaring by 31% from a month ago. The import prices were averaged at US$629/ton.

Among them, 6,300 tons were from Latin America; 3,400 tons were from Asia; and 1,800 tons were from the EU.

Meanwhile, the country’s wire rod exports totaled 3,700 tons in October, slumping from some 20,000 tons in September. The export prices were averaged at US$665/ton.
