As the key province of supplying steel in China, Provincial Governor of Hebei Province, Mr. Zhang Qingwei indicated that in 2016, the emphasis of Hebei Government would be to optimize the structure of Steel Industry, for the sake of accomplishing the task of overcoming over-capacity.

In 2016, Hebei Province plans to reduce 10 million tons of iron and 8 million tons of steel in production capacity. And in the next five years, the maximum of production capacity in Steel Industry would be 0.2 billion tons. To achieve this goal, it means that in the next five years, 60% of the steel enterprises need to be shutdown or integrated. The integration in Steel Industry in Hebei Province would not be simply accomplished, but aiming to boosting the mutual development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.
