The spokesman of ThyssenKruppAG said recently that some European steel enterprises have asked EU Commission to launch anti-dumping programs against steel from China, and besides ThyssenKruppAG, ArcelorMittal is also one of the enterprises that require investigation by EU Commission for any dumping conducts of Chinese steel companies.

Despite no comment from the spokesman of Trade Issues of EU Trade Commission yet, he said EU Commission would have 45 days to consider if there is enough evidence to launch a official investigation after receiving the appeal. It¡¯s stipulated that the enterprises asking for anti-dumping investigation must have 25% of market share of related industry, and the official investigation must be within 15 months. However, the EU Commission has the right to impose temporary duties on related products in two months if there is enough evidence of dumping activities.

According to the statistics from Chinese industrial data, the exporting volume of steel and iron reached 4.43 million tons in June, nearly doubling the volume of last year.
