India, an emerging market, has the population of 1.1 billion and the great potential of 2.5 million car output annually. Since the United States and China, India has become world's the third largest automobile consumer market. The requirements on the industrial equipments and components have a wide range, which covers all low-end to high-end products.

During the exhibiton, the exhibtior from ChinaFastener.com introduced Chinese suppliers to the buyers and handed out ChinaFastener Magazine for free. Moreover, invited by Mr. Narinder Bhamra, the president of Fastener Manufacturers Association of India, ChinaFastener.com also paid the visit to all the Chinese exhibitors one by one for further business negotiations. According to the investigation on the local manufactuering, at present the following products still have advantages when being exported into India from China:

1. Grade 8.8,6.8 bolt or screw , Diameter from M10 to M16(also inch sizes) ;
2. SAE 1010/1018 nut, M6 to M20, eg. Hex nut, nylon nut, flange nut etc.

In this three-day exhibition, 120 exhibitors demonstrated electric power tools, hand and pneumatic tools, and fasteners, etc., and 35 from Mainland China, 14 from Taiwan, and most of the others were from India. There are four exhibitors coming from Mainland China and specialized in fastener making:Hangzhou Xiaoshan Gaofeng Nail Factory, Wenzhou Junhao Industry Co., Ltd., Wenzhou Wanda Fastener Factory, Ningbo Zhenhai Hexin Standard Parts Co.,Ltd. It is worth mentioning that there was a company from Shangdong, whose product is very rare to see: shear wrench. This company is Jinan Hanpu Machinery Co.,Ltd, and according to Mr. Liu, the president of this company, the shear wrenches produced by them are already very marketable domestically, and now are well sold to Malaysia.

During the three days, the visitors get more and more every day. Though sometimes the visitors standing in front the booth may not be totally relevant to their business, the Chinese exhibitors are always able to sort out the customers they need among the stream of people. Some of the exhibitors even have determined a draft sales contract after negotiation. Based on a careful observation, ChinaFastener.com advises some of the domestic companies to take a new look at the Indian market, so as to know fastener market in a better manner and avoid drawing conclusions from a part.

Impression Chennai

Chennai, formerly known as Madras, is located on East Coast of south India. As the fourth largest city in India, Chennai has a population of more than 10 million. In the mid-December, many parts of China have been hit by winter cold, however, the temperature in Chennai sill maintains at 15 to 25 degree centigrade, making this city a warm and comfortable place in this season.

The heavy traffic here is very interesting and unforgettable. In rush hours, you will see big trucks, cars, buses, motorbikes, bicycles, ox-carts, tricycles, handcart and the pedestrians are jostling with each other and trying to make a way through for themselves. Those buses are filled with crowded people, some of which are holding the door (the bus door is open), and some others are grabbing the window. The buses don’t stop at the bus stop but only slow its speed, leaving the opportunities for the passengers hop on or hop off the bus. Over 80% inhabitants in Chennai believe in Hinduism, and the most impressive thing is that their religion thoughts has deeply penetrated into their daily life in many aspects, such as the local building, class status, work, language and behavior, ideology, and marriage. Additionally, the scenery characteristic of Chennai can be summed up like this: Herds on the road; headshake is opposite of no; eat with the right hand and drive on the left side.
