Official Journal of the European Union reported that the European Commission had received a complaint from the European Industrial Fasteners Institute (EIFI) on 31 March 2011, alleging that imports of certain stainless steel fasteners and parts originated in India were being dumped and thereby causing material injury to the Union industry.
After consulting the Advisory Committee, the European Commission had determined that there was sufficient evidence to justify the initiation of a proceeding and hereby initiated an antidumping & countervailing investigation on stainless steel fasteners and parts from India on 13 May 2011.
The involved products are under HS codes of 7318.12.10, 7318.14.10, 7318.15.30, 7318.15.51, 7318.15.61, and 7318.15.70.
The investigation will be concluded within 15 months of the date of 13 May 2011 and provisional measures may be imposed no later than nine months from the publication (13 may 2011) of this original report in the Official Journal of the European Union.
