Chain Chon Industrial Co., Ltd., Taiwan’s major producer of stainless steel, will soon launch mass production at its plant in Ningbo of Zhejiang Province, China.
Chain Chon president C.P. Lee said the timely inauguration of the Ningbo plant will meet the booming development of the economic circle in the Yangtze River Delta. The plant has not only perfected the company’s overall distribution channel but also provided stainless steel processing services to customers in eastern China.
Over the past several years, Chain Chon has been expanding production capacities worldwide. As China is playing a critical role in the worldwide economy, Chain Chon has also consolidated distribution channels in China and added sophisticated production equipment, hoping to achieve win-win situation with customers.
In addition, the company has established many service outposts in the major cities of China to offer in-time stainless steel processing services.
Chain Chon scored NT$15 billion in consolidated sales in 2011 and anticipated to see robust growth this year if the steel price in the world market is stabilized. The company forecast its output will increase 50% up to 60% year-on-year this year.
Lee noted his company has been deeply rooted in China for a decade. The company has set up large-sized steel-shearing centers and distribution channels in northern, eastern and southern China.
He further said the Chain Chon’s production and service deployment in China meets the requirement of the blueprint of China’s 12th five-year plan. For instance, Formosa Plastics Corp. and Chang Chun Petrochemical Co. have placed big-ticket orders with Chain Chon for stainless steel to facilitate their construction of petrochemical plants in China.
Headquartered in Taoyuan County, northern Taiwan, Chain Chon has set up overseas subsidiaries in the U.S., Thailand, and Malaysia. The company has united its overseas subsidiaries to make advantageous procurement of raw materials with world-renowned steel mills, helping it become a world-class firm with distribution channels and shearing centers.
