"Jiangsu Hardware Exporting Base" settled in Danyang on 26th, September officially, which is the first exporting base in Zhenjiang city and the third exporting base in Jiangsu province.

Hardware industry is the traditional industry and pillar industry of Danyang city, with 30 years' development, it has more than 400 enterprises, over 30,000 employees and annual sales of more than RMB8,000,000,000; it has high-quality large-scale enterprises like Tiangong and Feida, is the largest aiguilles and diamond saw blades manufacturing base in Asia, the largest high speed steel manufacturing base in the world. The national high speed steel research centre is located in Danyang. There are 8 enterprises in Danyang having their export sales of over $10,000,000, hardware tools in foreign trade are of a large proportion in the province.

 

Wang Changsheng, mayor of Danyang said, "Hardware Exporting Base" settling in Danyang would push Danyang to establish hardware tools industry of international competition actively, Danyang hardware tools industry would promote the industrial internationalization, high-technology and large-scale through the next five years' efforts, making Danyang to be the world hardware manufacturing center, collecting and distributing center and researching center.
