B/E Aerospace Sales Jump 15.8% in Third Quarter

B/E Aerospace Inc., Wellington, FL, reported sales for the third quarter of $888.1 million, an increase of 15.8 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit quadrupled to $92.7 million, compared to a year-ago profit of $18.5 million.
Commercial aircraft sales increased 18.4 percent to $456.6 million. Operating earnings increased 22.4 percent from the prior year to $82.4 million.
Consumables management sales increased 7.3 percent to $317.4 million. Operating earnings were $58.8 million, an increase of 7.7 percent year-over-year.
Business jet sales increased 33.8 percent to $114.1 million. Operating earnings increased 52.7 percent to 18.9 million.
For the first six months, sales for B/E were $2.6 billion, an increase of 13.1 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Profit increased 73.5 percent to $275 million.
