Diversified manufacturer Precision Castparts Corp. (NYSE: PCP), Portland, OR, reported sales for the fiscal third quarter of $2.5 billion, up 5 percent year-over-year. Organic sales increased 2 percent. Profit increased 2.8 percent to $445 million.
 
Investment cast products sales increased by 4 percent in the third quarter to $632 million. Forged products sales were up 2 percent year-over-year to $1 billion. Airframe products sales increased 11 percent to $798 million.

For the first nine months, sales increased 6.9 percent to 7.5 billion from the same period in 2014. Profit increased 7.9 percent to $1.4 billion.
