In the first half of 2015, Chongqing City has its industries above designated sizes increased 13%, compared with that of 2014. Within which, the performance of strategic emerging industry was eye-catching with a growth against the descending trend.

Announced by Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, the total output value of industries above designated sizes in Chongqing City reached to 984.17 Billion CNY, 13% increased comparing with that of last year. During January To May, the profit rebounced with a large margin of 39.38 Billion CNY, 23.3% increased comparing with that of last year and 24.1 percentage higher than that of the national level. Such a high percentage allowed Chongqing City to rank in the second place nationally.

The automobile and electronics industries of Chongqing remained their sharp developing tendency in the past five months until May. In the first half of 2015, the output volume of automobile in Chongqing was aprx.1.55 million with a value of 222.1 Billion CNY. Such a fact implied that nationally within eight cars, there was one made in Chongqing City. At the same period, the strategic emerging industries in Chongqing performed in a spectacular way. Mr. Tu Xingyong, former director general of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology indicated that in the first half of the year, SK Hynix Semiconductor Inc. a giant chip manufacturer in Chongqing has reached its production target with an output value of 0.94 Billion CNY. The volume of industrial robots increased six times. The middle-and-high-end CNC machines have grown 23.1%.
