Japan’s aluminum product output declines in Jan

According to the Japan Aluminum Association, the country’s aluminum production decreased by 0.1% to 153,124 tons in January compared to the same time of last year, declining for the second consecutive month.

Among them, the output of aluminum plates used for aluminum cans, electronic equipment, automobile parts increased by 9.1% to 91,653 tons; the output of extrusion products mainly used for building and automobile sectors decreased by 11.3% to 61,471 tons.

Member of Japan Aluminum Association include: Furukawa sky aluminum, Kobe Steel and Nippon Light Metal Co.
