As the pearls on the crown of manufacturing, Robot Industry catches thousands of eyes and starts its era since 2014 in China. In 2015, the Robot Industry steps into the phase of fast growth.

In Yangtze River Delta Region which heads to the advanced manufacturing, Robot Industry develops rapidly. Its industrial scale in Shanghai is predicted to reach 60 to 80 billion CNY by 2020. It is also the representative of the whole Manufacturing Industry among the seven biggest industries in Zhejiang Province. The average annual growth rate of Jiangsu’s Robot Industry reaches to a quarter percentage and two years later, it is predicted to reach 100 billion CNY.

Shanghai is by far the biggest Robot Industry Cluster Area in China as the 4 international robot giant companies also set offices in Shanghai. But still there are a huge difference between Shanghai’s Robot Industry and that of the abroad. To develop the core technology is what Shanghai’s Robot Industry need to do.

Due to the increasing labor cost, Zhejiang Province launched a plan named “Robot Substitution” in 2014, planning to replace labors with robots in 5,000 projects. And unexpectedly, within the year of 2014, the total replacement had covered over 6,000 projects. Mr. Cai Hegao, who has paid a close attention to this plan, said that it will help to promote the transformation and upgrading of Zhejiang’s Manufacturing Industry and the cluster & in-depth development of Robot & Automation Industry, turning Zhejiang into one of the crucial Robot Industry and Technology bases in China, and even in the whole world.

In Jiangsu Province, the Robot Industry is also rising. In cities like Nanjing, Suzhou, Changzhou, Xuzhou, there are Robot Industry Cluster Areas but the robots produced there still aren’t as good as that of Liaoning Province and Guangdong Province. Nanjing is fastening its steps to establish a Robot Industry Technology Base, offering 80-90% of Public Technology to solve the low-end repetition problem after its establishment. Nanjing also plans to establish 3 Robot Industry Bases in Jiangning, Liuhe and Gaochun respectively, developing them into the advanced Robot Industry Base in China by 2020.
