Just like Dongfeng Peugeot, Ford Motor Co also faces the problem of recalling the Ford Cars. The company decided to recall 12,328 2015 F-150 pickups in North America because a part in the steering mechanism was improperly riveted, potentially causing it to come apart, according to the Detroit News.

These recalled F-150 Cars were produced during March 19-30 in 2015 at Ford’s Kansas City and Dearborn truck plants.

"The riveted parts are both steel, but the recall is not related to the company’s decision to make the new truck largely of aluminum." said Kelli Felker, the spokesperson of Ford.

"In much of the F-150, rivets replace spot welds that are typically used in mostly steel bodies," writes David Shepardson of the News. "The F-150 is up to 700 pounds lighter than the 2014 version and 5% to 29% more fuel efficient."

About 12,300 pickups are affected in North America, including 8,963 in the U.S., 3,348 in Canada and 17 in Mexico.
