After the recalling the 2015 F-150 Cars in North America, Ford Company again has to face the problem of recalling of 1,220 2015 Lincoln MKZ Cars in China after the date of June 22th. These cars were produced during February 3rd, 2012 to March 20th, 2015. The reason of call-back was on the defective fixing bolts in steering engines.

"In highly corrosion environment, the joints of motor shell of steering engines will easily be corroded, leading to the fracture of fixing bolts and disengagement of steering engines from the motor shell. Danger would occur especially driving at a lower speed.” said an engineer from Ford Company.

Distributors of Lincoln MKZ in China were authorized to arrange inspection for the Lincolns. Free replacement of the steering engines will be offered to eliminate the safety problem if the fixing bolts are fractured. If not, distributors will offer replacement of the fixing bolts and additional coatings of the joint.
