There are two types of mold factories in China—mold factories that depend on auto manufacturer and the market-oriented mold factories. It is analyzed that the market-oriented mold factories will be easier to get orders from auto enterprises than dependent mold factories. Such a tendency is caused by the limited production capacity of dependent factories and the increasing independent auto enterprises. In auto mold market, there are three kinds of molds: low-end auto molds, middle-ends, and high-ends. For low-end molds, the supply exceeds demands while in the middle and high-end market, things appear oppositely.
