Statistics from Taiwan Custom indicated the steady export of fasteners from January to April, 2015. In certain period, the fasteners export volume including stainless steel nails reached to over 530,000 tons, 3.94% increased comparing with that of last year. Export value was over 1.3 Billion USD, 2.65% increased comparing with that of last year.
Analyzing in monthly basis, both fastener export volume and export value decreased in April when exporting to Germany, Netherlands, UK, Italy, Poland, Sweden, France and Japan, etc. To explain the decrease, the currency devaluation should be the mainly reason. However, the Taiwan fasteners export increased when exporting to USA, Canada, Russia, Belgium, Mexico, Australia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam, etc. It is worth mentioning that the export was 109.55% increased in Saudi Arabia.
Based on the aforesaid analysis, it should be concluded that by April, Taiwan’s fastener export remained steady without being influenced by currency turbulence and dispersive markets.
