According to some engineers of China Certification& Inspection Group (Zhejiang), Co. Ltd., 30 companies in Jinhua have been approved by UL to enter American market, but it only accounted for 30% of the total hardware exporting enterprises in the city. Jingqi, the deputy-director of Jinhua Entry- Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau , said many companies have been paying much attention to American market, which has become the second biggest trade partner after Europe and saw the volume of 500 million dollars of imported electronic tools in just one year!
UL, which stands for Underwrites Laboratories Inc., is one of the biggest non-governmental institution of safety and certification. ¡° Compared with European certifications like CE, UL pays more attention to products safety performance, instead of environmental protection. Thus, obviously, it's more conducive to the development of the companies in Jinhua.

It's said that in the developed countries like USA, consumers don't see to the safety performance themselves after purchasing. Once there is something wrong with the products¡¯s safety performance, they usually ask for huge  compensation from manufacturers and retailers according some laws and regulations, as a result of which, the distributors always import products with safety certification.
