Automobile industry is in the transformation period of heading to intelligent era. Foreign part enterprises including Bosch, Valeo, Infineon, and Delphi have domained the “Commanding Height” of technology for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Automotive part enterprises in China are lagged far behind these foreign enterprises.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are vital parts of intelligent vehicles, in spite of the secure vehicle data, complex systematic framework, etc. In near future, to achieve the goal of realizing intelligent vehicle would be mission impossible. However, to apply ADAS in automobiles will be an attainable goal.

To develop the ADAS, sensors with differentiate functions are required. “Sensors applied in ADAS should complete the task of detection in different distances, degrees and weather conditions. That requires an integration of different technologies, for example, Ultrasonic Technology, Radar Technology, Camera Technology, Infrared Technology, and Laser Scanning Technology.” said Mr. Zhou, GM of Valeo’s Chinese subsidiary.
