Taiwan's China Steel Corp. (CSC) has announced to hold its wire rod prices unchanged for February.

The company’s price of electric furnace (EF) Al-killed steel low carbon wire rod will be at NT$19,500/ton, that of high carbon wire rod will be at NT$19,300/ton and that of low alloy wire rod will be about NT$20,700/ton.

Most of the market participants said that the decision is in line with their expectation. CSC said the main reason for price unchanged is that Taiwan's screw makers have received more orders recently which have supported the demand for wire rod.
