In recent days, Rizhao Economic-Technological Development Area in Shandong Province, China (shortly referred as Rizhao ETDA) stood out from the declaration of being the national model base of new industrialization, being honored as the “National Model Base of Automobile Parts”.

Auto part industry is one of the pillar industries in Rizhao ETDA. In 2015, the auto part industry took 31.7% of the gross output in Rizhao ETDA, with a value of 24.88 Billion CNY. To promote the innovation of traditional industries, Rizhao ETDA launches multiple stimulation policies. Director General of Economic Development Bureau of Rizhao ETDA, Mr. Yu Haizhong indicated that the award as the national model base of auto parts would strengthen the driving force of capacity and technological competitiveness in auto part industry, and thus enlarging the economic influence of Rizhao ETDA.
