Global Fastener Trip 2017 - Germany, an 8-day business trip, organized by Zwick/Roell Group and Schatz, co-organized by ChinaFastener.com, started on Oct. 14th and ended on Oct. 21st with a great success. 

During the business trip, reporter of ChinaFastener.com with a group of Chinese fastener companies' leaders visited Zwick TestXpo,  WAFIOS, SCHATZ and IFU. The wonderful experience has impressed the group a lot.

On Oct.16, led by Mr. Gui, manager of Zwick, the group came to the first station of the journey -- headquarter of Zwick to take part in Zwick TestXpo -- International Forum for Materials Testing. 

Our reporter said, the forum has attracted more than 2000 visitors from all over the world on the first day, of which more than 60 were Chinese visitors, formed by four groups. Chinese visitors were interested in the latest machines for materials tensile, fatigue, high temperature, tightening and fixing. They questioned and argued with each other.

The forum shown the biggest high frequency fatigue testing machine which weighs 1 ton, with the fastest testing frequency 150Hz, and is used in fatigue testing of bolts. The machine can complete 1 million times testing within 8 hours but the power consumption is equal to that of airconditioner. The machine will be put to use in Chongqing University at the end of this year.

Besides exhibition of machines, the organizer invited Prof. Dr. Qing Zhou from Tsinghua University, to address with the topic "Vehicle Safety in Age of Electric Vehicle and Smart Traffic" to promote the cooperation and development of fastener industry between China and Germany.

On the morning of Oct. 19, the group came to the second stop of the business trip. Mr. Martin Hoffmeier, general sales manager of WAFIOS (China) introduced the company and products to the group and led the group to visit their factory.

As an Germany company with a long history, WAFIOS has dedicated to the R&D and manufacturing of fastener machines. Their machines can produce bolts with diameters from 0.6mm-33mm, applicable to carbon steel and SS steel. The bolts can be used in architecture, aerospace, medical, auto, military and other high-end industries.

Based on the introduction, its machines are famous for high manufacturing speed, durable and steady. For example, its HC4/HC800/HC6 cold formers can produce 800 bolts per minute. Only with regular maintainance, the machine can keep running for 24 hours per day everyday with low failure rate. Now, the first machines in China has completed and will be used soon.

Mr. Martin said, their company was optimistic about Chinese market and they would like to get more information about Chinese market through the communication and they believe that their products can greatly improve the manufacturing efficiency of Chinese fastener companies.

The third stop of the trip was Schatz group on the afternoon of Oct. 19. As a expert on bolt testing, Schatz has devoted itself to provide high-quality solutions of fixing and and assembly of bolts. After 50-year development, the company has become one of the biggest bolts assembly companies with advanced technologies. Their products include SchatzINSPECT, Schatz ANALYSE and other softwares and related services which can inspect and maintain the quality during the processing of bolts, to improve the control and management of manufacturing.

Mr. Wilfried, sales manager of the company gave the group a detailed introduction of their proud products and answered questions of the group members. After the introduction, he led the group to visit Schatz Test Center. The group knew more about the products of Schatz after the detailed introduction of a tester of the company.

On the morning of Oct. 20th, the trip came to an end on IFU.

IFU was founded on December of 1989, mainly engaged in R&D of bolt manufacturing technologies and cultivation of technicists.

Under the leading of IFU director, the group was divided into two groups to visit the technologies training to see the manufacturing process of bolts. The members were interested in a screws testing machine independently developed by IFU. They discussed about the operation, fuction and testing technologies deeply.
