Global Fastener Trip 2017-- USA , organized by Chinafastener.com started on Oct. 16, and ended successfully on Oct. 25, 2017. The group visited International Fastener Expo, Fast-Rite, Magni, ND Industries, Ford Auto and Fastenal during these days and benefited a lot.

The First Stop--International Fastener Expo 

On Oct. 18, ChinaFastener.com led a group of 15 Chinese companies' leaders to take part in the International Fastener Expo (Formerly NIFMSE) at Las Vegas Convention Center.

The exhibition has attracted 723 exhibitors, mainly local US companies, such as BBI, EFC Internationl, etc. The number of Chinese exhibitors reached 175, a quarter of all exhibitors, including Jiangsu Washen, Zhejiang Xinchun, Zhejiang Sansega, Shanghai Fast-Fix, Shanghai Rivet Manufacturing, WAFIOS, Jiaxing Dazhe, Zhejiang Ansheng, Jiaxing Xingxin, BSC, Hangzhou Lizhan, Jiangsu Yagu and so on.

The Second Stop--Fast-Rite

On the morning of Oct. 20, the group came to the headquarter of Fast Rite. Mr. Gerge, general manager of the company, and Mr. Howard, global procurement manager and other staffs welcomed the group with open arms.

Based on the introduction, Fast Rite was founded in 1992, with its headquarter in Chicago, USA. It is mainly engaged in providing OEM service to top 300 company in the world. The company has advanced packaging machines, storage management technologies and fully-computerized labs. It uses SAP system to manage information and data to help clients to achieve Zero Inventories, improve their management and reduce manufacturing costs.

As a famous company in Chicago, Fast Rite had thousands of chances to be listed on stock market, but Mr. Gerge control the company scale on purpase. He wanted to devote all their energy into their business and focus on every details and become a company with delicacy management equipped with SAP system.

During the communication, Mr. Gerge answered questions from the group patiently and told the group how they can help their clients avoid the inventory risks and the development bottleneck and the future direction of Chinese fastener companies.

The Third Stop -- Magni

On the morning of Oct. 23rd, the group drove to Magni in Detroit. The group was accorded a cordial reception by Mr. Matt and Mr. Eddie. 

Founded in 1974, the company was dedicated in R&D and manufasturing of high performance anticorrosion coating to extend the service life of products with its headquarter in Birmingham, USA. Except Africa, the company has set metal surface treatment and technology center all around the world and provide their service via service center in USA, China, Brazil and other counties. Its coating products have been used by more than 240 companies, with the top chemical technique and remarkable engineers to ensure the quality, concentration and service life of their coatings. Their products are mainly used in automotive fasteners, and the clients include General Motors, SVW, Ford Auto, etc.

During the visit, Mr. Matt focused on the 500 series. The main fuction of the coating is anti-corrosion and to keep the stability of friction coefficiency. The company is very harsh about the raw materials and the coating includes first coat and top coat.

After that, the group visited the exhaust system and drainage system of the company. Based on the introduction, Magni spends a lot in the maintanence of its waste gas filter, nealy 10,000 US dollars per month with the filtration rate about 87%.  The maintenance costs of its waste water processor is very high too. The processors will test and adjust the ingredient of the waste water. After sediment, they will discharge the clean water within the standard. They said that Chinese fastener companies were suffering the enviromental pollution which hinder the development of Chinese fastener industry. The high-tech and low-cost, zero-emission system of Magni was high praised by the group.

The Fourth Stop -- ND Industries

On the afternoon of Oct. 23, the group drove to another famous company in USA--ND Industries.

Based on the introduction, the company was founded in 1955, mainly engaged in anti-loose treatment of fasteners. It provides services to all around the world. Its mainly business is to apply various materials to fasteners and components to help fastener products to be locked, and sealed, etc. ND Industries has the top team of professionals and advanced labs and equipment. It provides customized service and manufacture products based on clients requirements to satisfy the expectation of its clients.

Mr. Ted led the group to visit their chemical department, packaging department, R&D department and machine department. 

The Five Stop -- Ford Industry & Fasteal 

On the morning of Oct. 25, the group came to visit Ford Auto and its processing line.

After that, the group came to a physical store of Fastenal to investigate the US hardware market. We could see that in USA, there was seldom a hugh hardware wholesale market but more small hardware markets. All kinds of hardwares like fasteners and tooling have been displayed clear and in order which is different from hardware shops in China.
