Japan DIY Homecenter Show was officially held on Aug. 23, 2018 at  Makuhari Messe, Tokyo, Japan. This was the first stop of Global Fastener Trip--2018 Japan and the 24th issue of ChinaFastener Magazine made its debut at the show.

Based on introduction, the show was organized by Japan DIY Industry Association and has been held for 53 edition (including all exhibitions in East Japan Area and West Japan Area). It is now one of the largest comprehensive lifestyle-related exhibitions in Japan and aims to help popularize and raise awareness of the sound practice of DIY, contributing to the overall development of the home-improvement center industry and to a richer lifestyle for people living in Japan through cooperation between manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of DIY-related products and materials, bringing together a wide range of products and services under one roof, and leading to the creation of vibrant business opportunities, the exchange of ideas, and improved publicity for the industry vis-a-vis general consumers.

The show attracted 500 exhibitors displaying their products including hardware, fasteners, machines and tools, etc., up 5.26% versus 2017. Several fastener companies took part in the exhibition.

Reporter of Chinafastener.com said that the first of the event has attracted many visitors. The official data showed that it's expected to attract more than 120000 visitors, while the number of visitors in last show was 110769. The show was greatly supported by many exhibitors with 60% satisfactory for last show. Near 80% exhibitors said they had business negociations during the last show.
