What the demand of Russia to bolts, nuts, screws and other fasteners is what the ordinary people's demand of food, which is on the rise constantly. Nowadays, in particular, Russia sees its golden time of construction, resulting in increasing demand of fasteners at growth rate of over 15% annually. The output of Russian domestic fasteners, however, is declining by 10%-- 15% year on year, which leaves the sparing market share under the thumb of Chinese fastener companies.
Russian demand for fastener arises
According to some hardware experts, Russian demand for fasteners, in the coming three years, is about to increase by 7% annually, among which the construction section sees the fastest growth¡ª15% year on year. Despite of the total annual demand being around 160,000 tons (25 million dollars), only 25% of the construction fasteners is from Russian domestic companies, with the rest imported from other countries.
Russian market saw the total demand of fasteners reaching about 250,000 million tons, among which the imported volume accounted for over 50%. Based on some statistics, 75% of the fasteners used in Russian construction section are imported, mainly from China, Southeastern Asia and Ukraine, reflecting that Russian domestic fastener companies have been losing their marker share constantly.
Currently, since Russian domestic fasteners can¡¯t meet customers'demand, there are some customers still buying low-end fasteners, but the number is on the decline. In the international market, the bolts and screws made in China are put into use in so many ways, and what¡¯s more, they are in favor with customers due to their good quality and reasonable price. Why Chinese fasteners can be of such strong competitiveness? That's because the price and quality of fasteners form China can meet the demand of customers, which lead China to be the major fasteners producer in the world. Compared with China, Russian domestic fastener companies have no such thing of competitiveness at the current moment.
