The volume of foreign trade in the port of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, reached 89.67 billion yuan ($13.09 billion) in August, a year-on-year rise of 12.3 percent, according to Ningbo Customs on Wednesday.

August saw foreign trade 4.3 percentage points higher than that of July, representing steady growth momentum.

From January to August, Ningbo's combined foreign trade volume totaled 616.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.4 percent, according to Ningbo Customs.
