On March 16th, 2008, Chinafastener.com joins fastener visiting group and begins the trip from Shanghai to Moscow for Fastec-2008. It seems Russia is quite near China, but it still takes 10-hour flight. Russian Time is 5 hours later than Chinese time.
Viewing from the plane, there is a unique landscape in Moscow. Russia’s season is quite different from that in Southern Area. As it is a warm winter for most European countries, you can not find heavy snow in Moscow.
Warm Winter
Upon arriving in Moscow’s airfield, the first impression is that it takes a long time to pass the immigration desk and it is said that, in generally, 50 to 100 USD will be blackmailed by the police at the immigration. The guide says Blackmail is very common in Moscow and we had better not go out alone. When at Rome, do as the Rome do. We should try to be patient and keep waiting anytime in Moscow, as the pace of life in Russia is a very slow. However, Moscow is currently the city of the world's highest consumption.
We stay in Moscow COMOS HOTEL (Cosmos Hotel), a four-star hotel of entertainment, recreation, accommodation.
The second day is preparing the booths. The exhibition hall is not very big as this is a professional fastener show. There are about 150 enterprises (including 50 from Mainland China, 30 from Taiwan) exhibited in this show. Chinese enterprises cover more than half of the whole, which hits a record and it is a good beginning.
On March, 18, it is the fist day of the show. However, there are few visitors in the exhibition hall, as the morning of the fist day is still for preparation in Russia. As a result, the enterprises take the opportunity to communicate together and discuss the market status of Russia.
The atmosphere becomes much better on March 19. Most of visitors are fastener buyers. Most of the visitors have learned about www.Chinafastener.com and some express that they have ever established business with some suppliers on www.Chinafastener.com, which is good news for us.
