On July 8, Würth Industry, a global leader in C-parts industrial materials management and intelligent supply chain solutions, officially inaugurated its new Foshan office project in the Sanlongwan Science and Technology City (Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone). This strategic move underscores the company’s deepening commitment to the South China market and its confidence in the region’s manufacturing ecosystem.

Würth Group, a German family-owned enterprise founded in 1945, operates over 400 subsidiaries worldwide and generated €20.7 billion in sales in 2025. Würth (Shanghai) Industrial Fasteners Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Group, supplies industrial clients with more than one million production and maintenance items, including fasteners, C-parts, industrial chemicals, professional tools, and safety equipment. The company also offers integrated supply chain solutions such as smart warehousing, digital inventory management, and on-site vendor-managed inventory services, catering to new energy, automotive and rail transit, optoelectronics and telecommunications, construction machinery, and power and electrical industries.

In 2023, the Foshan Sanlongwan Science and Technology City Administration launched the "Greater Bay Area Sino-German Market Partner Program" to help German companies explore business opportunities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Würth Industry was among the first batch of "partner enterprises" to sign up. Over the past three years, the Administration has facilitated targeted matchmaking between Würth Industry and multiple local Foshan companies, leading to several successful collaborations. To enhance customer proximity and localized services, Würth Industry decided to relocate its South China office from Guangzhou to the Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone—a move that not only reinforces its commitment to the southern market but also reflects strong recognition of Foshan’s business environment and industrial base.

The new Foshan office serves as a comprehensive South China regional operations center, integrating office space, after-sales service, product display, and an in-park flagship store. Martin Jauss, Executive Vice President of Würth Industry for Asia-Pacific and Europe, stated that relocating and upgrading the South China office to Foshan was the right decision. "Our business in Foshan has grown steadily in recent years, showing great potential in this region," he noted. "With the Foshan office as our hub, we are well-positioned to deliver the services our South China customers need." Looking ahead, Würth Group plans to further expand its South China footprint and enhance local service capabilities as business continues to develop.

Jan Roennfeld, Executive Director and Board Member of the German Chamber of Commerce in China · South & Southwest China, commented, "Foshan has a solid manufacturing foundation and a well-developed supply chain, which not only facilitates production for German manufacturers but also benefits service providers like Würth Industry in finding customers. Moreover, the local government, including the Sino-German Industrial Services Zone Administration, actively helps German companies connect with local partners. I believe that is why more and more German firms are choosing Foshan."

In recent years, leveraging its comprehensive industrial system, advantageous location, and internationalized business environment, Foshan Sanlongwan Science and Technology City (Sino-German Industrial Services Zone) has continuously attracted high-quality German and European enterprises. Currently, it hosts about one-third of all German-speaking country enterprises in Foshan. Industry leaders and "hidden champions" such as Würth Industry, ebm-papst, Neura Robotics, and SW Machines have recently established regional operations centers, R&D centers and delivery centers in the area.

With a strong manufacturing heritage and proactive international cooperation, Foshan extends a warm welcome to German and European enterprises to establish themselves in Sanlongwan, seize the development opportunities of the Greater Bay Area, and pursue new industrial synergies. Foshan is committed to strengthening its signature brand of high-level Sino-German cooperation, connecting global high-end industries and innovation resources, and providing quality services and ample space for more international companies to expand their presence in the Greater Bay Area.
