It is reported that China totally imported 320,000 tonnes of scrap in June, 40,000 tonnes lower than that in May down by 10.1%MoM. The monthly import volume records new low from October in 2008.

 
China scrap import regained after bottomed in October, 2008 but continued to slip from this April.

 
In H1 the country totally shipped in 3.06 million tonnes of scrap which plunged by 60% or 4.52 million tonnes from that in the same period of last year.

 
The scrap export dumps 53% MoM or 32,000 tonnes from May volume to 28,000 tonnes. The total export quantity in H1 was 224,545 tonnes
