FastenMaster, a division of OMG Building Products, has expanded its LOK line of structural wood screws with the introduction of MarineLOK, a heavy-duty fastener engineered specifically for coastal and marine applications. Crafted from 316 stainless steel — widely regarded as the gold standard in corrosion protection — MarineLOK is rated for use within 1,000 feet of saltwater, making it an ideal choice for docks, marine decking, boardwalks, boat houses and other wood-to-wood connections exposed to aggressive environments.

The new fastener features an innovative patent-pending design that combines three performance-enhancing technologies into a single point. A sharp type-17 point, serrated cutting teeth and wood-clearing inner threads work together to deliver faster starts, smoother cutting and a noticeably cleaner finish. FastenMaster calls this integrated geometry the SureStart ThreadPoint. Together with the SureSink™ head, which provides a neat, flush appearance, and a T50 drive system that locks in for stable installation, MarineLOK is positioned as a direct replacement for ½-inch lag screws in coastal construction.

MarineLOK fasteners are available in 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 8- and 10-inch sizes, packaged in boxes of 30 with a T50 driver bit included. The launch reinforces FastenMaster’s commitment to providing professional contractors with fastening solutions that improve installation speed, durability and long-term performance in demanding jobsite conditions. FastenMaster, established in 1981, is known for its LOK Line structural screws, Tiger Claw Hidden Deck Clip System and Cortex Hidden Fastening Systems. With MarineLOK, the brand adds a true 316 stainless option to its portfolio, directly targeting the specialized needs of the marine construction segment.
