Chinese crude steel production in July up by 2pct YoY

According to the latest data from National Bureau of Statistics of China, in July the country yielded 47.58 million tonnes of pig iron down by 1.9%YoY, 51.74 million tonnes of crude steel up by 2.2%YoY and 67.67 million tonnes of steel products up by 9.7%YoY respectively.

The daily output of crude steel posted 1.67 million tonnes a decrease of 123,000 tonnes from the previous month. And the January to July period eyes an aggregate of 375.48 million tonnes of crude steel up by 18.2%YoY.

During the first seven months of the year, the production of pig iron and steel products was 351.97 million tonnes up by 14.4% and 465.87 million tonnes up by 23.1% respectively.
