Expo Overview –
The 14th Annual National Industrial Fastener Show/West scheduled for November 8-10, 2010 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada USA has already exceeded 2009 exhibit space sales and continues growing, reports Susan A. Hurley, Show Manager.
“We have already sold 651 booths to 528 companies from throughout the USA and 13 other countries worldwide including Belgium, Canada, China, India, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Spain, The Netherlands, Taiwan and United Kingdom (as reported August 17th). This puts us 5% ahead of last year’s numbers and we are seeing other encouraging signs that our industry is recovering. We have contracted with over 60 new and returning companies which were not with us in 2009. We are anticipating up to 700 booths and more than 550 exhibiting companies by show time”, informs Ms. Hurley.
Three Shows in One –
“Our merger with the International Fastener Exposition (IFE) has caused us to greatly expand our already well established Machinery & Tooling section to accommodate member companies of the International Fastener Machinery & Suppliers Association (IFMSA) and other makers of fastener machinery, components, manufacturing systems, controls and support services, materials, accessories, tooling and supplies from around the world”, say Jim Bannister and Mike McGuire, General Partners. “Industry veterans Ray and Doug Zirkle are marketing and selling the Show to their contacts throughout North America, Asia and Europe. We are excited about having the entire industry represented under one roof. It is a natural to bring this all together and it responds to the need to reduce the number of fastener trade shows in the U.S. Our event is the only exhibition in North America to include machinery and tooling for the design and manufacture of fasteners and formed parts”, add Jim and Mike.
“We are also experiencing increased interest from manufacturers of mill supplies such as abrasives, air tools, cutting tools, drills, hand tools, plant maintenance and safety supplies. We are welcoming these suppliers to our event. Having these lines in the Show will be of interest to today’s multi-line distributors who carry such items in addition to fasteners”, reasons Show Manager Hurley.
