On March 9th, Mr. Feng Jinyao, Chairman of China Fastener Industry Association (CFIA) led a delegation on behalf of China fastener industry to investigate the EU market, mainly to German, Italy and England. This trip included having meeting with European Industrial Fastener Institute (EIFI) discussing EU antidumping, visiting Fastener Fair Stuttgart and visiting European Local fastener manufacturers. This business trip lasted for 15 days. Through this trip, the Chinese delegation learned and understood more about the development trend of global fastener industry.
The members of this delegation included Mr. Feng Jinyao, Chairman of CFIA; Mr. Xu Pengfei, General Manager of Ningbo Jinding Fastening Pieces Co., Ltd.; Mr. Wu Jinyao, General Manager of Zhejiang Mingtai Standard Component Co., Ltd.; Mr. Shen Jiahua, General Manager of Haiyan Yuxing Nuts Co., Ltd.; Mr. Zhong Shixiong, General Manager of Huanghua Jujin Hardware Products Co., Ltd.; Mr. Zhao Ding'an, General Manager of Jiashan Dagan Hardware Engineering Co., Ltd.; and Ella Leung, Project Manager of China Fastener Magazine.
Visited Fastener Fair Stuttgart:

The CFIA delegation paid a visit to the Fastener Fair Stuttgart on the 10, March, 2015. It was reported that this fair attracted 833 exhibitors from 42 countries covered a net exhibition space of 18,500m2 and the exhibition was fully booked. This fair covered 5 exhibition halls. Asian exhibitors were mainly located in Hall 4.This fair offered a chance for the fastener manufacturers, distributers and traders to understand the current situation and growing trend of the worldwide fastener industry as well as to build a platform for mutual study, mutual communication and mutual benefits.
Paid a visit to EJOT:
As a medium-sized enterprise for producing and selling high-end fasteners in Germany, EJOT enjoyed a high reputation in the field of Auto, Machine-building, Electronics, and Construction, while it also takes the leading position in its own field. Meanwhile, EJOT is one of the initiators of Global Fastener Association.
Founded in 1922, EJOT Group used to be a screw factory named Adolf Boehl with a history of over 90 years. At present, EJOT Group has more than 30 offices internationally, including 11 factories and over 2,200 employees. In November, 2005, EJOT Fastener System Co. Ltd (Taicang Branch) was founded, not only does it manufacture and sell, but also offer high-end fastener products and technical service to the APAC customers.
Mr. Stephan P Weitzel, Chairman of EJOT Group introduced the basic situation of the group and the product advantages. He later showed the Chinese delegation to the factory and shared the matured experience they gained in this line. In the evening, all guests and hosts gathered together to exchange their opinions regarding Sino-European trades and shared with each other their experience of success in their own fields.
Visited Nedschroef Herentals N.V:
Founded in Helmond, Nederland in 1894, Nedschroef Herentals N.V. Company started its fortune by producing shipbuilding screws and later developed steadily into a holding group company. In 1987, Nedschroef was listed in Amsterdam Stock Exchange. In 2008, the gross sales of the group reached an amount of around 0.5 billion Euro when having 1,700 employees. In 2013, Nedschroef set up its factory in China and in next year, it was taken over by Shanghai Prime Machinery Co., Ltd (PMC).
During the visit, Mr. Jan Hassdenteufel introduced the company and product advantages. And he mentioned that Nedschroef ranks in the top list of Auto Fastener Manufacturing Industry in Europe, with worldwide points of sales mainly offering Screws smaller than 8mm, Bolts sized from M8-M12, Nuts, Stamping Parts and other machine components, etc.
Visited Carlo Salvi:
Carlo Salvi, is one of the best known brands in Italian cold formers. Founded in Italy in 1939 and by far, Carlo has produced and sold over 4,000 machines globally.
Based on the introduction by Mr. Germano Pandiani—Executive Director of Carlo，the Company produces Cold Formers with One Die Two below Heads, Two Die Four below Heads, and Progressive Heads. With the support of its professional R&D team, Carlo is able to develop and produce highly efficient and highly accurate cold & hot formers and other relative dies based on different requirements.
For sake of focusing more on expanding the domestic business and offering more efficient technical service to customers, Carlo set up its Guangzhou Branch two years ago, producing a comprehensive series of highly-precision and high-speed Cold & Hot Formers which can forge from common metals to even titanium for diameters ranging from 0.8 to 22 mm. These machines are suitable for producing all sorts of components in various fields, covering Aerospace, Electronics, Auto and other related ones. Carlo developed the most advanced cold forging technology for production around the world and uplifted the level of technological development in this field.
Carlo also pays great attention to its after-sales service. “We have a professional technical team for service that offers installment, inspection and maintenance for our customers. Besides, we have enough storage for cold formers to avoid shortage of supply for our clients’ production.” Mr. Germano Pandiani said. Later he showed the Chinese delegation around the manufacturing plant, which allowed us to know deeply about the European machines.
Visited Trafilerie SanPaolo:
Founded in 1966, Trafilerie SanPaolo is a local family firm in Italy, which mainly produces the Hot-rolled Steels for diameters ranging from 2 to 40 mm. After introducing the company strength and product advantages, Mr. Tiberio Roda, General Manager of TS in person brought us around the factory to see their production process and procedures on spot.

After the visit, Mr. Geoff Budd and Mr. Jim Barker, the European Executive Director and General Manager of TR Fastener respectively, extended great hospitality to the Chinese Delegation. Mr. Geoff Budd is at present the chairman of British Association of Fastener Distributors (BAFD) while Mr. Jim Barker is the former chairman and also one of the honored guest speakers for the first Global Fastener Industry CEO Summit. Mr. Barker showed great interest in attending the second Global Fastener Industry CEO Summit which will be held on 26, June, 2015.
