1.Description
A Plain Washer (or "Flat Washer") is a flat annulus or ring, often of metal, used to spread the load of a screwed fastening. Additionally, a Plain Washer may be used when the hole is a larger diameter than the fixing nut.
This standard DIN 9021 specifies requirements for products grage A and C Washers with a large outside diameter.i.e. washers with an outside diameter approximately equal to three times the nominal thread diameter of bolts with which the washers are intended to be used. The preferred application of these washers is in assemblies of hexagon head bolts and nuts with widths across flats as specified in ISO 272.
