The export value, volume, and average price of China’s steel, iron or copper standard fastener in July sees a year-on-year growth of 31.3% to USD $ 462 million, 13.9% to 252 thousand tons, and 15.3% to USD $ 1836/ton respectively as well as a rise of 8.9%, 6.0%, and 2.7% from the preceding month in 2011, according to statistics compiled by China Customs.
For the first seven months of 2011, the export value, volume, and average price of China’s steel, iron or copper standard fastener sees a year on year growth of 39.6% to USD $ 2.665 billion, 20.8% to 1.504 million tons, 15.6% to USD $ 1771.5/ton. However, the growth rate of China’s steel, iron or copper standard fastener sees a drop of around 5% in export value and around 25% in export volume as compared with the same period of 2010.

US, Russia and Japan are the main importers of China’s steel, iron or copper standard fasteners in terms of export value. For the first seven months of 2011, the export to US, Russia and Japan grew by 38.1% to USD $ 474 million, 81.7% to USD $ 198 million, and 22.3% to USD $ 172 million respectively. In terms of market share, US takes up 17.8%, keeping stable level as last year; Russia rises from 5.7% to 7.4%; Japan drops from 7.4% to 6.5%. The export to the top ten importers for the first seven months of 2011 reaches USD $ 1.389 billion in value, taking up 52.1% of China’s all steel, iron or copper standard fasteners.
