Located in the economic center of the Yangtze Delta, Haiyan is rapidly rising centre for the export of Chinese fasteners. It is surrounded by Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou and Ningbo, the four economic powers along Yangtze Delta.
Currently, Haiyan has more than 1500 fastener manufacturers and related companies. 14,000 types of products are involved, including wide ranges of standard fasteners nuts, screws, and high-tensile bolts. It's nut exports represent 50% of the Zhejiang Province exports, and its output and export of long bolts are the largest in China. In 2006, the output of standard fasteners in Haiyan reached one million tons, with 70% for export.
