It is reported that several car plants could be built in Russia in the coming years. For example, Fiat-Chrysler plans to invest RUB 32 billion to build a plant in St Petersburg. It is assumed that the new plant will be able to produce up to 120 thousand cars per year.

Its rival Volkswagen is considering building of car plant in the Vladimir area.

Mr Leonid Khazanov the observer of Metal Supply and Sales Magazine said “If these projects will be implemented the automotive fasteners demand could increase in Russia.”
