The 25th National Fastener Economy, Trade & Technology Symposium was held successfully on 10 to 12 December, 2012 in Changsha City, Hunan Province, China. The symposium had been held for years, receiving great support and popularity from fastener industry insiders and outsiders. There were over 200 fastener enterprises exhibiting in this year’s symposium and people were found everywhere on-site.  

www.chinafastener.com, the official website appointed by China Fastener Industry Association, was invited to join in the symposium and provide internet technology support.

The symposium could be divided into five parts, special reports, information release, product show, trade negotiation, and business consultation, where companies could learn the present economic situation and market demand.

Mr. Feng Jinyao, president of China Fastener Industry Association, reviewed the development of China’s fastener industry in the past ten years. He pointed out that China’s fastener industry had undergone tremendous changes in the past decade. So far there were more than 95% fastener enterprises restructuring into joint-stock or private enterprises, fastener industry became more energetic, the number of fastener enterprises increased quickly, and more than 4,000 fastener enterprises are equipped with national scale; the adjustment of product structure was accelerated, production capacity was improved and fastener output had topped the first in the world, the comprehensive strength of fastener industry was enhanced. China had become one of the largest fastener manufacturing countries in the world, whose position had been improved significantly in the international market. He said that to promote the fundamental transformation of the mode of economic growth of the whole industry, the pursuit of production output must be changed to the pursuit of improving quality and brand; the pursuit of large scale must be changed to the pursuit of proficiency, feature, and specialty; the production-oriented pursuit must be changed to production service-oriented. With above transition, the whole fastener industry would maintain a steady and healthy development. And China’s fastener industry always maintain moderate development, the output of fasteners would reach 7.2 to 7.5 million tons in 2013, still standing in the forest of the world. 

Product show, trade negotiation, and enterprise communication proceeded as schedule after special report. The on-site representatives expressed that it was beneficial to attend such symposium, listen reports and communicate with industrial counterparts.
